ARICE Call Results 2018

The results for ARICE Call for ship-time propsals 2018 has now been published. Eleven proposals were submitted to the ARICE call for proposals, only one of them not complying with the eligibility criteria. Ten proposals were sent for external review (with the aim of 3 external reviews per proposal).

A success story on the Arice project has been published online on the webpage of the European Commission.

Arice publishes its first newsletter

ARICE invites for a webinar organized by APECS and IOPAN. This webinar is dedicated to pre-cruise planning and preparing for ship-based research activities. Dr Agnieszka Beszczynska-Möller, physical oceanographer at Institute of Oceanology Polish Academy of Sciences (IOPAN) with extensive experience as a cruise leader of multiple Arctic scientific expeditions, will talk about planning ship-based and long-term oceanographic field studies and pre-cruise logistics.

During the first leg of the expedition, the MOSAiC partners, APECS and the EU Horizon 2020-funded project ARICE work together to offer the MOSAiC School 2019 on board of the support icebreaker RV Akademik Fedorov.

ARICE organizes a workshop entitled "Towards an European Network of Polar Research Vessels in the Arctic", as a side event to the 31st International Research Ship Operators (IRSO) 2018 Meeting in Barcelona, Spain.
The ARICE workshop will take place on the 4th of October, 16:00-18:45, at the CMIMA-CSIC, in Barcelona.
