Abstract: Ice cores sections (every 5 cm) were collected and thawed in 15 ml no-headspace vials and sent to a private laboratory for analysis (Gasbench + DeltaPlus XP). The main goal of our project is to study the complex biogeochemical processes governing the carbon and sulfur cycle in sea ice. Therefore, a whole set of physico-chemical and biological parameters is collected, including ice texture and delta oxygen-18. Delta oxygen-18 helps us to clearly identify the different ice textures observed with the thin sections.
